Pride      The word pride in itself isn’t a significant word yet it’s importance infers numerous things. There are a few distinct definitions for pride. Pride can be alluded to as a kind of plant, a type of body ornamentation, or even a gathering of lions. The most usually utilized meaning of pride is being pleased, or having a sentiment of extraordinary achievement and feeling smugness. The word pride both positive and negative implications that can be seen from the beginning of time. In 1297AD, pride was depicted as â€Å"A awareness or sentiment of what is befitting or because of oneself or one's position, which keeps an individual from doing what he considers to be underneath him or disgraceful of him; esp. as a decent quality, real, ‘honest’, or ‘proper pride’, sense of pride; likewise as a mixed up or twisted inclination, ‘false pride’† (OED 4). This sort of pride is close to home pride and the picture an individual must keep up to keep it. An individual can't permit them self to act so that would be disparaging. A case of this would be a military trainer getting down with his volunteers and playing out indistinguishable disparaging drills from they are. The sergeant’s long periods of difficult work and administration would not be paid attention to if he somehow happened to bring down himself to the degree of their enlisted people along these lines bringing down his feeling of pride.
